- The OCDC, Downtown Association, and Boardwalk Development Association are requesting business and residents to display holiday lights and decorations throughout the downtown area from Thanksgiving weekend through New Year's Day.
- Mayor and City Council Open House

- The OCDC will have a display at the January 1, 2012 Open House held at City Hall (Baltimore Avenue and 3rd Street). The Art League of Ocean City, one of our prime partners, will be the featured organization at this year's Open House. Last year the OCDC and its revitalization efforts were the featured organization. The event is free and open to the public. It Open House runs from 1 to 3 pm.
- OCDC selects top 3 facade projects

- At its May 4th Annual Meeting, the OCDC voted on the following 3 facade projects as its best among its 102 completed facade projects to date:
First Place: 105-107 11th Street,
Second Place: 108 5th Street,
Third Place: 104 Philadelphia Avenue

- OCDC announces 100th member

- Mike Padgett, owner of Padgett Electric, and a downtown resident, is the 100th member of the OCDC. The OCDC originated in 2000 with only 34 members. In order to become an OCDC member one must merely have an interest in downtown Ocean City. Membership applications are available at the OCDC office and online. The membership dues are prorated depending on the time of year one applies.
- OCDC Green Building Initiatives Program

- The OCDC announces funding assistance for this new program. The intent of the program is to promote energy saving improvements to downtown businesses and property owners. The program will pay up to one third of the cost not to exceed $5,000 to applicants installing energy saving improvements such as solar panels, wind turbines, building insulation, ENERGY Star rated windows, and other items. For additional information or an application contact the OCDC office.
