Ocean City, MD — The Ocean City Development Corporation (OCDC) is pleased to announce it has been awarded $150,000 through the Maryland Façade Improvement Program (MFIP) as part of the State of Maryland’s annual State Revitalization Program (SRP) grants, announced this week by the Governor’s Office.
These funds will be used to continue OCDC’s four core programs: Façade Improvement, Commercial Façade, Green Building, and Business Assistance, which support property owners and businesses in enhancing building exteriors, improving sustainability, and strengthening economic vitality throughout downtown Ocean City from 17th Street to the Inlet.
The MFIP grant is administered by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and is designed to encourage reinvestment in designated Main Street and downtown areas across Maryland by improving curb appeal and leveraging private investment.
Through these programs, OCDC has helped advance revitalization efforts across downtown Ocean City, supporting both residential and commercial properties while preserving the area’s character and long-term vibrancy.
OCDC extends its appreciation to the State of Maryland and the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for their continued investment in downtown Ocean City and its businesses, property owners, and community.
